Stage One: Pool Layout
During the pool layout, our team uses stakes, string line, and measuring tape to trace the engineered plans in the yard. The pool layout is usually done 1-2 days before the scheduled excavation.
The construction process for building your pool doesn’t have to be a stressful one. With 32 years of experience, building a pool for us is part of our daily routine. Yet we understand that building a pool for you can be a life changing experience. Here is an overview of the step-by-step process of constructing a new pool.
During the pool layout, our team uses stakes, string line, and measuring tape to trace the engineered plans in the yard. The pool layout is usually done 1-2 days before the scheduled excavation.
Depending on the access we have into the back yard, we will use a mini, small, or large machine to completely dig the swimming pool per engineered plans. Some of the dirt removed will be left on site to be used to back-fill around the pool.
During this stage, we use wood forms with leveling tools to frame the pool based on the design. The forms are then covered with Steel Tex to continue shaping the pool wall.
Once the wood forms and the steel tex is in place, we can continue shaping the pool wall using steel rebar. Once this stage is completed, we are required to complete three inspections to inspect the pool’s main drain, the pool steel, and the pool steel bonding.
Once our first three inspections are passed, we are clear to move ahead with the shotcrete. We cover the entire pool area, pool beam, steps, and benches using shotcrete.
After the shotcrete dries, we are able to strip the forms. Once all forms are removed, we come in with a small machine and will use the dirt pile left on site to fill in and compact the dirt around the perimeter of the pool.
Once the backfill is complete, we dig our trenches for the plumbing lines and run all plumbing pipes to the designated equipment location. During this stage we also have two inspections that must be approved before moving on to the next phase. The perimeter plumbing and the underground electric are usually inspected during this step.…
Once you get to this phase of work, the project will seem to start to fly by. At this point in the project, we install the coping and then the waterline tile. We have hundreds (if not thousands) of options available for tile and numerous options for coping as well. There are no inspections needed…
Unless we are installing an infinity edge deck, the decking installation will always come after the Coping and Tile. The deck installation takes 2-3 days depending on the total square footage of the deck. After the deck is completed, we usually need to have a deck inspection completed.
During our initial consultation, we will inform you as to whether your fence meets code or not so you can start coordinating with a fence company of your choice. As a homeowner, you have a few options to use as your barrier: Option One: If you have an existing fence, you can update your existing…
We are almost there! Once the pool barrier is installed, inspected, and approved we are able to schedule your pool interior finish for installation. This is usually a one day process and after letting your pool finish cure for 24 hours, we will return to begin filling up your pool with filtered water.
Once your pool is filled with water we will continue to maintain and take care of your pool for the first 30 days after completion. During the following two weeks after the completion of the pool, we will have the remainder of inspections take place. There are usually 5-6 inspections that can not be scheduled…
